Our base camp will be Collier-Seminole State Park which lies partly within the great mangrove swamp of southern Florida, one of the largest mangrove swamps in the world. A wide variety of wildlife, including several imperiled species, inhabits this unusual blend of temperate and tropical native plant communities. You can experience the park on the remarkable wilderness trail; there is a beautiful 3.5 mile bike trail, and the Blackwater River trail which we will be exploring together. On Friday and Saturday we will offer; easy, short open water and long open water paddling choices. On Sunday morning we will have a short paddle for everyone to enjoy together. The paddle choices on Friday and Saturday will include easy/nature options, short open water options and long open water options. The locations we will visit are weather and tide dependent and launch times will vary depending on conditions. Paddlers will self-shuttle to the launch sites. Sign-up for the paddles will be the night before and group sizes will vary depending on capacity (parking etc.)
