All waterways lead to the coast—and small actions can have huge impacts! The TECHE Project and the Coastal Wetlands Planning Protection and Restoration Act (CWPPRA) have teamed up with the Gulf of Mexico Alliance to celebrate International Coastal Cleanup Day on September 19 with everything you need to clean up along your local waterway or in your neighborhood.

Volunteers can pick up their cleanup kits at the Arnaudville Floating Dock next to Myran’s Maison de Manger restaurant between 9am and 12pm and turn their relaxing paddle down Bayou Teche into a small act of service. Kits include a trash bag, gloves, hand sanitizer and a seed packet of native plants to further beautify the area! Register with a friend or family member and socially distance as we work together to help keep our waterways trash free!
